Lost sounds files in v383

Am I crazy?  I have flashed v383 without issues before this but I've just flashed a new IP04 with uImage-ip02-ip08-v383.img and the sound files are not there???  When flashing the only thing I have in question with my own efforts is I have been typing nand write 0x1000000 0x0 0x800000 and the v383 file size is 7864352 (780020 hex).  I have been unable to find a otehr than 800000 that the IP04 will accpect in this statement.  ???  warning: I am an extrmeme newbie with flashing the IP0X series...

Here's my initial boot output at the 232 console, (look at the lack of sound files decompressed):

Re: Lost sounds files in v383

btw;  I copied the sounds files manually from another IP04 running v383 and this unit seems to work fine so there does not appear to be anything else missing.  I still question if I'm the cause here because I do not understand the proper value I should be using with the nand write command at flash time.

Re: Lost sounds files in v383

Hi switchfinreseller

You are missing the sounds because the ip0x failed to resolve downloads.digium.com, the ip0x should download the sound files on the first boot, this sometimes fails because either the ip0x network settings are wrong or downloads.digium is down.

The sound files are checked by the rc on startup, if its just a network issue you just need to set up the network correctly and restart the device.

Thanks
Jason

Re: Lost sounds files in v383

Thank-you.  I thought I was going crazy as I flashed this unit many times with the same result BUT each time I did not have a network cable plugged into it.  :-\

Now that I know I won't make that dumb mistake again...
